Healthy Snacks for Traveling

Taking a road trip? Flying across the country? Taking a 2-hour flight? However you are traveling - don't get caught without snacks! I know I hate it when my stomach is growling. I get all grouchy and tempted by sweets and fried foods. Sooo.... To avoid temptations, I always pack snacks in my carry-on or purse so that I can stick to my healthy lifestyle. 

Here are a few of my favorites:





  • Rice Cakes
  • Peanut Butter
  • P90X Protein Bars (My favorite is the Peanut Butter flavor.... YUM!!!)
  • 100 calorie packs of almonds (I love how they are already portioned out and simple to throw in my bag!)
  • Magic Bullet is easy to take in a suitcase. I take fruit from the continental breakfast and whip up Shakeology or protein shakes in my hotel room.
  • Small container and plastic silverware for making salads while traveling. Stop by a local grocery store for a bag of lettuce and topping, throw them in the container, and eat on the go!
